Did your relatives serve in World War II? Did you know that there are 1.2 million WWII veterans still living? However, time is running out to hear their stories of bravery and sacrifice that help define our country. The iHistory WW2 video contest is a national competition to inspire teen filmmakers to capture these stories on film.
Starting August 19, 2013, aspiring young American filmmakers (ages 13-18) will have the opportunity to hear these stories firsthand, make a mini-documentary, and have the chance to win coveted prizes for themselves and their school. The total value of combined prizes is over $11,000. We’re also working in cooperation with the Library of Congress to preserve the interviews in their archives.

On December 10, 2010 filmmakers around the world will produce a four-minute story on video. 48-hours later they will upload their video to YouTube. Judges will score entries on Story, Cinematography, Sound, Performance and Editing.
For this contest, your $25 entry fee will go into a prize pool. As more filmmakers enter videos, the prize grows! (Prizes from our April contest were $700 and $300.)
This time we’re introducing an Amateur Entry category, with a $5 entry fee and the opportunity to get input from the judges.
